Severe Weather Update #1
Dear Resident,
We are under a flash flood watch until 5pm Tuesday night. Rain, heavy at times, is expected to begin late tonight and continue through most of the day Tuesday. Rain totals of 2 to 4 inches are possible with locally heavier amounts possible. Thunderstorms with hail and strong winds are possible. The Governor has declared a State of Emergency in anticipation of the forecasted severe weather conditions.
The Marlboro Office of Emergency Management (OEM) has preparations in place.
Heavy rains and winds can bring power outages. Charge all electronics and ensure flashlights have fresh batteries. Should you experience and outage, report to JCP&L at 888LIGHTSS or report on line at https://www.firstenergycorp.com/outages_help/Report_Power_Outages.html
We remind residents to assume all downed wires are live and dangerous. Do not touch or drive over them but report to Marlboro Police at 732-536-0100.
Do not drive through floods or barricades as even a few inches can be dangerous.
We will update you as needed. Stay safe.
Mayor Jon Hornik
