Wind Warning
Update #1
February 24, 2019
Dear Resident,
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning beginning at 4pm today (Sunday) through 6pm tomorrow. Winds are expected to gust up to 60 mph making travel difficult. NWS has reported observing very high winds to our west. Please secure any small, loose outdoor objects, keep electronics charged, and have batteries and flashlights available.
High winds, in conjunction with already saturated grounds is expected to bring scattered power outages. We have been in contact with JCP&L and it is prepared to activate its storm response and Incident Command System plans.
In the event outages occur due to severe weather, customers without power are encouraged to report their outage by calling 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877), clicking the “Report Outage” link on www.firstenergycorp.com, or by texting out to 544487. Reporting power outages helps JCP&L pinpoint outages and plan a more efficient restoration so it is important to report even if you assume your neighbor did.
We will update you as more becomes available. Please prepare and stay safe.
