RE: Join Us at the Next Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) Meeting
Wednesday, May 25th from 8pm to 9pm in the Town Hall Courtroom (1979 Township Drive)

Dear Marlboro Township Resident:

If you are a parent/guardian of a Township teen between the ages of 13-18, then I recommend that you encourage them to join the Marlboro Township Teen Advisory Committee (TAC). The next meeting is this Wednesday, May 25th from 8pm to 9pm in the Courtroom at Town Hall (see agenda at the end of this announcement).

TAC currently has over 1900 registered members who regularly "DO GOOD!" in our community, and in the process earn community service credits that enhance their college applications, satisfy honor society requirements, and support scholarships applications, among other things. TAC is a dedicated group of teens who are developing valuable leadership skills and are committed to community service. TAC facilitates the development of future leaders and teaches that community service is not optional, but rather a necessary and integral component of being a leader in life.

In 2008, TAC was granted official township-committee status by the Marlboro Township Council and each TAC member is thus a part of our local government!  With this, TAC members have a governmental voice and each of them is taught and encouraged to use it in furtherance of TAC's mission and goals, and to make Marlboro a better place to live, play, raise a family, and work.

In 2015, TAC was recognized by the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, as a Top 25 program in its Innovations in American Government Awards Competition.

I hope your teen will consider joining this important part of our community.

Wednesday, 5/25 - 8pm to 9pm

All participants will receive a community service credit for attending and participating.

Jake Fallon will be leading the meeting and Matthew Tanenbaum and Austin Friedman will present the Leadership Principle on “Ideation” and how to think creatively.

Attendees will also be a part of an ideation session to discuss ways to take TAC to the next level, so please come with ideas regarding what you would like to see at future TAC meetings and initiatives that TAC should take on during the next school year.

Join us as we say farewell and thank you to the TAC Executive Committee members who are graduating!
