Weekend Update
Dear Resident,
I hope you are enjoying spring break. The weekend weather is forecast to be warmer, sunny and perfect for taking advantage of Marlboro’s open spaces. In addition to the facilities at the Municipal Center and the recreation complex, pocket parks are scattered throughout the township (click here for list). The Henry Hudson Trail, a paved path for walking, running or biking, winds through Marlboro and is a part of the Monmouth County Park System. This Saturday, the Recreation Department is hosting the Scrambled Eggstravaganza (registration required). More on that and all upcoming events, programs and updates below.
BRUSH AND BAGGED LEAF COLLECTION – Curbside brush collection nears completion and bagged only leaf pickup underway. Please review https://marlboro-nj.gov/curbside-lawn-debris-update-3 for dates and regulations.
NOTICE: The much anticipated spring cleanup/bulk pickup annual collection will begin by zone April 19. Please review the regulations and excluded items (i.e. no TVs) in the recycling calendar, page 11 and linked HERE. As always, items may not be placed curbside more than one week in advance of your first collection day. More to follow in a separate email.

APRIL IS SAFE DIGGING MONTH – NJNG reminds us that residents should all 811 at least 3 business days before you or a contractor plan to dig to have underground utilities marked out. Protect your family and underground utilities.
HOME IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM – If you live in Marlboro, own your own home and fall within income limits you may qualify for a no-interest ten-year forgivable loan. See FLYER for more.
COVID UPDATE
PRIORITY VACCINE REGISTRATION FOR MARLBORO RESIDENTS AGE 65 AND OVER OR DISABLED – We continue to help our residents most in need. If you have not yet scheduled a vaccine appointment, please review my letter HERE for more information and a link to complete the on-line form. Registration instructions for those without computer access is detailed in the letter.
COVID-19 TESTING IN MARLBORO - The COVID-19 testing truck is located in the Recreation Center Parking lot. The schedule through the end of April is Sundays 9-3 and Wednesdays 1-7 (closed Easter Sunday). The testing is done via saliva test, you do not have to be symptomatic and results are emailed within 72 hours. Please review the flyer for dates/times, the QR code to pre-register and what is needed to expedite the process. There are no out-of-pocket costs for the test. STATE VACCINE REGISTRATION AND UPDATES –
- State Vaccine Appointment Finder – On this website you can search for appointments available throughout the state. Please note that vaccines remain in short supply throughout the country, however this website hopes to ease the need to navigate multiple websites. https://covid19.nj.gov/pages/finder
- Vaccine Eligibility – The state expanded eligibility on March 29 and will further expand on April 5. Please click HERE for details. General COVID-19 vaccine information can be found HERE.
- While finding a vaccine appointment remains frustrating, it is important to note that progress continues. NJ ranks 3rd in vaccine supply administered (88.4%), 8th in daily doses administered (93,733) and 8th in percentage of population having received at least one dose (32.7%).
