Weekend Update
Dear Resident,
A reminder that Bulk Collection is underway by zone and bagged leaf collection is near completion. That information, along with Fire Hydrant flushing, Vacant House Upkeep and more can be found on the Town Website and linked HERE.
Business Notes - A reminder to our businesses, that the State Emergency Assistance Grant Program Pre-Registration is open now through April 29 at 5pm. You must be pre-registered to be eligible. As we head towards warmer weather and the possibility for outdoor dining, please contact to renew or open a no-fee permit. For more on these and issues of other concerns to our businesses, please click HERE.
Road Construction at Route 9 and Clayton Road - The State of NJ DOT will be resurfacing the ramps both onto and off Route 9 overnight both Thursday April 22 and Friday April 23. Due to the heavy traffic volume, this construction will take place overnight beginning no earlier than 9pm and roadways will open by 6am. Detours will be in place. As always, construction schedules are tentative and may be delayed/rescheduled. We ask that you avoid the area if possible. If you have questions, please contact Traffic and Safety at 732-536-0304.
Drug Take Back Day - The Marlboro Township Police Department will once again be taking part in the DEA’s National Drug Takeback Day. On Saturday, April 24th, from 10 am until 2 pm, you can anonymously dispose of any or all of your prescription medication in a safe convenient manner. The drop-off location will be at our Police Headquarters located at 1979 Township Drive. Please note that syringes and other sharp instruments will not be accepted. Can’t make that day? A drop box is located in the lobby of the Police Department available year round and available 24/7. Help keep medications out of the wrong hands and out of our waterways and landfills by participating in this important program.
Have a great weekend,
Mayor Jon Hornik
