Weekend Update

Dear Resident,

If you frequent the Marlboro Recreation Center for basketball or other activities, you may have noticed our new water bottle filling station.  This project was spearheaded by the Marlboro Green Team who applied for and received a $2,000 Sustainable Jersey grant.  It is our hope that this addition encourages residents to bring and refill their reusable water bottles helping to reduce to reduce plastic waste.  Please join me in thanking the Marlboro Green Team, Chaired by Adrianne Spota, for their efforts and that you will enjoy the new water bottle filler during your next visit to the Recreation Center.

PUBLIC SAFETY

Safety Update – Please remember to lock your car doors, take the key fobs inside, remove garage door openers, lock your doors and set alarms.  If you have not yet done so request an ‘I Took the Pledge’ lawn sign and download the ‘Neighbors’ app.  Most importantly, if you see anything out of place or suspicious call the police at 732-536-0100.  For crimes in progress dial 911.  To read more about how we, as a community, are working together to keep our homes and families safe, click HERE.

NOTICES

Teen Advisory Meeting (TAC) – The next meeting of TAC will be held on February 2 from 7:30 – 8:30 pm in the Town Hall Courtroom.  TAC was formed in late summer 2007 to give the teens of Marlboro a voice in our local government and to enhance their leadership skills and now numbers 2,000 registered members. TAC members look forward to giving back in the form of community service through volunteerism in an effort to support my “Do Good” initiative. To join TAC in advance of the meeting and to learn about opportunities for community service hours, click HERE.

If you need to dispose of your Christmas tree or bagged leaves you may drop them off at the Recycling Center with proof of residency. Brush collection will begin by zone in February. Please refer to the Recycling Calendar for dates and regulations. Do not place brush curbside more than one week prior to your first collection date. More to follow.

Inclement Weather Notice - We remind residents that the winter months bring a greater chance of inclement weather, all curbside collections are weather permitting and are subject to cancellations or rescheduling by the Marlboro Office of Emergency Management.  Notice will be made via email and social media.
