Weekend Update

Dear Resident,

We are speeding towards the unofficial end of summer, the start of school and our premier fall event, Marlboro Day. Registration begins for Fall Recreation programs for all ages. More on that below.

Last weekend’s tropical storm activity, which prompted several weather alerts from Marlboro OEM and evacuations in the neighboring towns of Monroe and Jamesburg reminds us that we are now in peak hurricane season.  I note that at the time of this communication, Marlboro OEM is monitoring a flurry of tropical storm activity in the Atlantic.

As you may know, ever since Superstorm Sandy left us with prolonged power outages, impassable roads and a wave of destruction just to our east, I have sent out an Annual Hurricane Season Update to advise residents how to stay in touch, be prepared and remind us all, how we, as a community continue to “Weather the Storms.”  That letter is on its way to your mailbox and is posted on the Township Website (HERE).
